Loving this idea.  Great movies in great spaces — and you can feel good about learning something new to boot.  I know it’s not for a while, but figured I would throw the dates out so you can get your sitters lined up!  Oh, and there are some for kids too — so if the sitter doesn’t answer your call, you still have an option.

GREEN SCREEN — An Environmental Film Festival

March 3rd through 12th, the Village and Town of Mamaroneck and Village of Larchmont will host Green Screen, a free film festival of eight environment-themed movies, for grownups and kids. Each screening will be followed with a featured speaker and a Q & A session on the topic.

Film Festival Schedule:

THE LORAX

Saturday March 3, 10 AM.  Tickets sold for a reduced rate of $5 per ticket, first-come, first-served.  Venue: Clearview Theater, Mamaroneck

BAG IT

Saturday, March 3, 2 PM.  Venue: Mamaroneck Library.  Speaker Sara Goddard, a local activist on the issue from Rye, which recently became the first municipality in Westchester to ban plastic bags.

FRESH

Sunday, March 4, 2 PM.  Venue: Larchmont Village Center (next to the Larchmont Library)
