I know I am now harping on this topic — but if you haven’t yet checked out what the Katonah Museum of Art and the Jacob Burns Film Center have cooked up with Blue Sky Studios for the next couple of months, you are really going to miss out on some fun!  There are movie showings, workshop opportunities, exhibits, special talks, and more scheduled for every age and interest level.  For the full schedule of events, click here and get in on the action!  There are a TON of options and every one looks awesome!

The Katonah Museum of Art’s exhibition “Ice Age to the Digital Age: The 3D Animation Art of Blue Sky Studios” (Sept. 16, 2012–Jan. 20, 2013) takes a behind-the-scenes look at the world of digital animation with the artists of Blue Sky Studios, creators of Robots, the Ice Age movies, Horton Hears a Who!, and Rio.   This lively exhibition, along with Gallery Talks and Family Animation Day, explores the process of 3D animation through the eyes and achievements of a world-class creative team. The exhibition was organized by the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. In addition to screening Robots, Rio, and Horton Hears a Who! as part of the weekend family films, the Jacob Burns Film Center is hosting many related workshops and programs for students, teachers, and volunteers, including a special event with Chris Wedge, a co-founder of Blue Sky Studios.  The Katonah Museum of Art (KMA) and Jacob Burns Film Center (JBFC) are proud to collaborate and celebrate Blue Sky Studios.
