7th Annual Walk-A-Thon.  Opening Remarks:  Patti and Bonnie Butler. Keynote Speakers: Sen. Greg Ball; Congresswoman Nan Hayworth; Town Supervisor Warren Lucas, NYS Assemblyman Steve Katz, County Legislator Peter Harckham. Sunday,October 21, 2012, Registration begins at 8:30am, Walk beings promptly at 9:00am.  Walk begins at North Salem Lion’s Club located at Mills Rd. & Rte. 22.  The walk was created to help raise awareness about teen domestic abuse in memory of Elizabeth Butler, a local victim of dating violence. The mission of the Elizabeth G. Butler Foundation is to inspire young women and men to understand their self-worth, teach the warning signs of domestic violence, and empower teens to seek help to prevent dating abuse. The day’s activities include an interactive safety demonstration by Tiger Schulmann’s Mixed Martial Arts, BBQ, music & more. The first 200 participants will receive free T-shirts.
