Chinese Culture Family Day

Sunday, April 22, 12:00 – 4:00 pm.  A day of fun activities introduces families to fascinating parts of traditional Chinese culture. 1:00 – 4:00 pm – Children’s Art Activities, on-going in the Learning Center, Fierce, Funny, Friendly – make a lively dragon puppet, Creative Calligraphy Banners – invent and paint your own calligraphic symbols on a banner.  1:00 pm – Chinese concert with traditional Chinese musical instruments, 2:00 pm – Virtual studio visit, via Skype, with children’s book author and illustrator Grace Lin, 3:00 pm – Chinese Fan Dance performance, 3:30 pm – Demonstration of the ancient Chinese healing arts of acupuncture & herbal medicine.  12:00 – 4:00 pm – RickShaw Dumpling truck in the Sculpture Garden!  Adults: free to KMA members, $5 non-members.  Children (ages 3 and up): $5 KMA members, $10 non-members.  Join at the door for FREE entry!  This program was developed in cooperation with the Westchester Association of Chinese Americans and the Westchester/Hudson Valley chapter of the Organization of Chinese Americans.
