How to look for a babysitter

I am currently living in California - we are probably moving to Westchester county - possibly Larchmont, Scarsdale, Ardsley.....
We have a scouting trip coming up in the middle of March - both my husband and I are going to visit a school for my daughter. We have a son who is 2 and definitely cannot behave during the interview / school tour - so we are looking for a babysitter who can help us for 1 1/2 hours....
How should I go about finding someone reliable? Any thoughts?
