Northern Westchester Hospital will be holding its annual Teddy Bear Clinic & Interactive Health Fair for Children & their Families.  Saturday, May 3, 2014, 8 – 11:00 AM (last tour starts at 10:15).  Northern Westchester Hospital, 400 East Main Street, Mount Kisco, NY 10549, 1st Floor Conference Center.  Fun Activities & Stations: Teddy Bear Clinic, Games & Healthy Snacks, Germbusters, Spin the Wheel of Nutrition, Tour a real Ambulance, Visit with local police for bike safety information, Learn important health & safety lessons, Da Vinci robot demo.  The event is FREE but registration is required. Cokie Roberts Coming to Bedford to “Remember the Ladies”.  Best selling author and celebrated journalist Cokie Roberts will be in Bedford on Saturday, April 5th to share stories from her new children’s book, “Founding Mothers: Remembering the Ladies.”  Find out how Abigail Adams, Martha Washington, Sarah Livingston Jay and other female patriots of the American Revolution helped forge our great nation. Did you know Lydia Darragh passed along valuable intelligence using coat buttoms to hide messages? Or that Deborah Sampson disguised herself as a man so she could fight in the war?  Ms. Roberts will have a question and answer session after her presentation and sign books which will be for sale courtesy of Little Joe’s in Katonah.
